In 2016, we launched the very first FISHBOWL out of one tiny 26 sqm store in Bondi Beach. The mission was simple: Change the culture of fast food. We were three young & hungry mates, who couldn't find anything that was fresh, tasty, healthy, and affordable. So we decided to take the leap and create the dream ourselves.

Now 10 years on, we're evolving from FISHBOWL to THISBOWL. Why? It's pretty simple: We serve a menu that goes far beyond fish, and we wanted our name to reflect that there's truly something for everyone. Beyond fish, THISBOWL is the sum of everything we love and believe in -- food, design, music, movement, art, fashion and culture.

Thank you for all the support these past 10 years. We couldn't have done it without you and we can't wait to see what the next decade brings.

    THE O.G.

    The gateway drug (IYKYK). Roasted chicken or salmon sashimi, kale, beets, red onion, edamame, roasted sesame, + seaweed salad. Crispy shallots + tobiko = magic. Always add avo.

    YUZU DAYS

    Poached chicken or roasted tofu, your choice. Crisp kale, bok choy, beets, shallots and radish are mixed with our tangy lime tahini dressing. Addictive pickled daikon, crunchy tamari almonds and yummy yuzu mayo drizzle.

  • HOUSE FAVOURITE

    BRAISED BEEF

    12-hour slow-cooked braised beef, featuring kale, cucumber, sweet potato, red onion + house tamari ponzu. Add a perfect wasabi mayo drizzle and umami cashew crunch to top it off.

    WORKS BY UTS VISUAL COMMUNICATION DEPT.

    Through the years, we've worked with the UTS Visual Communication students and featured their art in store. For 10 YEARS OF FISH, students toured our HQ, rummaged through the archives, and gained a deeper understanding of the brand before delivering their work over an 8 week period. Proudly presenting the art of upcoming artists: Ariella Tang, Molly Hall and Tiffany Tan, now at Bondi.

  • DESIGN

    Furniture by Telegraph Rd

    From the very beginning, we've worked with Telegraph Rd to craft bespoke furniture for every store. Elliot Jones creates all of our in-store fixtures out of a workshop in the Blue Mountains – steel and timber, salvaged and local materials wherever he can find them. Every functional piece brings something new, improved, and handmade with care from us to you. For Bondi, he also created outdoor seating for beach side hangs.

    CERAMICS BY MICHAELA KLOECKNER + BONDI PUBLIC

    Michaela has been throwing ceramics for decades. Trained under master potter Errol Barnes, her work moves between the functional and the sculptural. Spot Michaela's forms at the newly renovated Bondi store, with our brand new dine-in bowls. Each one hand-painted by the little legends at Bondi Public School, with their art sealed under glaze for good. No two are the same. Thrown in Nambucca, served in Bondi.
